What a credit is

A credit measures how much work the assistant does for you: roughly, how much text it reads and writes, weighted by the model doing it. Bigger models use more credits for the same work, and voice uses 5 credits a minute.

Credits are an allowance, not money. They cannot be cashed out, sold or moved to someone else, and a plan’s monthly credits end with the month rather than piling up.

Limits

Some plans cap how many credits you can use within any 5 hours, and within a week (Monday to Monday, UTC), so one busy afternoon cannot use up the month. The 5 hours start with your first request. When a cap is reached, the app tells you when it opens again.
